Susie--yes, I have had waves of nostalgia all day long! The kitchen bar holds so many memories for my family, as well as for many other families! In fact, as we pulled it out, wedged between the bar and the wall I found pictures and letters from all the families that had lived in my house--darling pictures of Bowns/Hansen kids, baby Andrew Martin, a letter from Grandpa and Grandma Nielson. When Mark made the cut for the new door, I thought "I'm committed!!!"
However, I am so excited for new cabinets, new floor, new sink, new layout! As we designed it, our number one goal was for more effeciency, better workspace. There's no looking back now!
