hey fam! the week has past by fast! It is absolutely crazy how fast things go by. It is a little scary to think i am already in week three of this change. Also, tomorrow i complete six months in the mission! The tradition is to burn a tie, so i am looking for a crappy one that i can get rid of!
Thats cool that frozen finally came out, here in ecuador you can buy brand new movies for a dollar becuase they are all pirated, so in my first change in santo domingo i saw a family watching frozen in their house.
Thats too bad they arent going to the quito mission!!! Shoot! But the quito north mission has a little cooler stuff, it has a lot of the coast, and the north side of quito, which is the rich super nice part that we cant enter in. So we kind of look at the quito north missionaries as the rich snotty kids haha. Trevor will be way out of place! But if he goes to the esmeraldas, he is gonna see black guys that are way bigger then him! They are a race that lives there on the coast, and its way beautiful and they baptize a ton there, but it is also very dangerous. So yeah, its a good mission!
Haha poor lizzie the only child! Get used to it chick! Youll be home alone for a few years! fun fun things during spring break! Youll have to do them all for sure!
Well, some crazy things happened this week, it has been very interesting. We took six people to church, and all are progressing and all have a fecha in order to be baptized the fifth of april. It would be a big blessing! One is a family of negros, (it is ok to say that here) and another the nail cleaner and her dad! He was able to come to church! What a miracle it was! This guy has 80 years, and he also has colon cancer, and so has been bed ridden for a long time, but he accepts every word we say! We gave them a book of mormon, and the next day we stopped by to check on them and the family had already read through the witnesses and hard started in nephi! Thats a ton of reading in one night! They are so great! Its him, his daughter, and her son. They are doing great! It was a miracle how we got him to church! We took him in a taxi, he was able to walk with our help to the door, and we brought him to church and walked him up the stairs, (he climbed them himself as well) and then he was able to sit straight in a soft chair with pillows for the whole first hour! He was in a little of pain, and he was dog tired, but he said the sacrifice was very worth it. When he ate the sacremement, he and his daughter were crying. They were really feeling the joy and power of the atonement in their lives. And all of was possible because the lord gave this man the strength to be able to attend church this sunday. I know in any other day it would have been impossible for him. But, the lord allowed us and him to witness such a special miracle. He and his daughter want to be baptized so bad, so we are working on a date for them!
Also, the family angulo, the black family are progressing nicely! They are very poor, and so very humble too. She has some cute kids! The picture ill send is there youngest boy, he is four, and the greatest! He is so cute and funny! Every time we go to visit them, he sees us from a long way off and takes off running with all he has to meet us and walk with us. its great! So there is the two families that are doing well! If everything stays good, we should have six baptisms soon!
