Letter #23

hey fam! how was your week?Im doing well here! This week flew by, i cant even remember most of it...
well this week we did a ton of contacting, and a lot of walking, but we didnt have the success of finding tons of new investigators, so we will keep searching the sector! This week is the week of carnival, like what we watch in the movie rio? Yeah, they do things different here in ecuador, they just dump water on everyone, and then flour afterwards! So I have been pegged with flour, water balloons, and rocks this week haha....yeah not good the celebrations of ecuador for the missionaries!! But its way fun to watch the culture! All the cool dances! In the movie the girls have their huge feather hats and are dancing? yeah, i watched all that! Way awesome!! Tons of alcohol though. But fun nonetheless! Everything is good, we are so close to baptizing a teen here, he is way cool, but he just hasnt recieved the strength to change religions yet, so we are working hard with that! His name is Esteban.  We also have a great family that has plans to get married, and they just have to do it! So if they progress more ill let you all know more on how they are doing!
I am happy to hear of the rain! that is way great!
well, the next week is transfers, so i might not be able to write, but i am pretty sure i am staying here, so ill see what happens next week! This change has gone by so fast!  I am very pleased to see the progress my companion is making, something that president told me when he was here is that some missionaries that have weaker companions sometimes dont help their companions to be better. But he told me he was very proud to see that my comp is doing way better, and that also i am improving. So that was an inspiracion to work harder and help my comp more and more.
Well, glad to hear from everyone!
Hope you all have a great week!
Love,
Elder Nielson
