All is well in armenia! My companion and i are staying together for another change, so we have a lot of work to do! It is the first time that i will be staying with a companion for more then one change. Kind of weird! But it will be fun. We had to manage the changes all morning, but now all is peacefull and all of the misisonaries are in their new sector. I am quite the laughing matter in between the zone leaders. The first time i met sister misisonaries in the mission was in pelileo when i had 7 months in the mission. Now, I am the zone leader of almost half of the sisters in the mission. It is kind of sad, because almost all of them are ending their mission in the next three changes, so there are that many sisters coming in to our mission to fill their spots. So, President talked to me and has me out scouting the sisters that can be training soon. (Just about all of the sisters will be training)
This last week of the change was a fun week! We had a fun service project in the district. An investigator is making reindeer out of wire and metal, so we went over and helped him make a few. It was a fun job, and it is alwyas great to unwind and be less stressed through service!
We also had the last district and zone meeting last thursday, and so i decided we would have a testimony meeting as well. It was so spiritual. It was a wonderful chance to see the determination and the faith of the missionaries of the zone. Afterwards, we and the companions of the missionaries that were going to end their missions made a secret plan to do a little "funeral". We put on our suits with black ties and sweaters, and made huge tombstones out of paper that said RIP and had pictures of the missioanries. We lit candles, and then we walked in singing and sad hymn. It was hilarious, and it was a great chance to recognize the work of the missionaries that "died" last change.
This sunday was a bittersweet experiance, because we had a baptismal interview for one of our investigatores that was going to be baptized this saturday. He passed the interview without problems, but, he cant attend church this sunday for work! He works one day for 24 hours and then rests for 24 hours. So he can only attend church every two weeks. The next chance he could be baptized is in two weeks, but in two weeks is the stake conference! So we cant baptize him there either! So, we have his baptism set for the 14th of december. Exciting that we have the date, but sad it wont be for so long. But, we can now work more with his family so they can accept the same date too. So it is good!
Well family, all is well here! My companion made me realize that i only have 5 changes left in the mission...wow. Time goes by WAY too fast. But, i will make the best of the time i can hear in ecuador! i am still sick. I am beginning to think it is the sinus infeccion i get every year...but we will see. All the members are making me drink lime, so i hope that will help me get better! I love you all tons! I hope you have an excellent week!
Con amor,
Elder Nielson
p.s. ok, well, now would be a good time to tell you what we have figured out this week about the sickness i have. I have been really weak lately, and my throat and head and all of my body have been hurting me. I finally called in to the nurses, and they said it sounded a lot like mono. They had me do a few tests at a clinic, and it turns out that it is mono. They say that i have had mono before, and that this is just the sickness reawakening in my body. There arent any ways to cure it, and it just makes you a little sick and weak. So, i just thought i would let you know that that is what i am going through. Today in the interview i talked with president about it, and he asked me if i needed to have less responsabilities. I told him no, that i wanted to stay working, and that will be well. So i hope i can continue working without problems. All seems well for now. So i dont think there will be more problems there.
Also, yes, that is my shirt size. And my pant size would be a 31 waist and 31 length. If you cant find that, please go down to 30, and not up to 32. All my ctr clothing clothes are huge. I dont even use the pants. I swim in the shirts, and use them as less as i can. Stupid store. Thanks for the package! It seems that some packages are making it through, so there is hope!
All went well with the interview, all President asked was "are you worthy to have a temple recomend"? I said yes, and then he said "well, you pass"! And we talked about some really sacred things that i want to share with you only on chirstmas during skype time. Super special for me!=)
